James Williams Middle School is continuing its "ATTI-DUDE" incentive program to recognize the positive acts of character and citizenship displayed by students. This program ties in with Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) in recognizing students for doing the "right" thing. This year, JWMS has expanded the program to also recognize staff who make noteworthy contributions to students and their colleagues that go above and beyond the call of duty. "Just like they do for students, the staff appreciates positive, meaningful recognition for committing to excellence at school," the district said in a press release. In the month of October, the following staff had their "winning ticket" drawn and chose their recognition gift card or certificate: Tara Perlberg, 7th grade Math, Walmart certificate; Connie Piasecki, Instrumental Music, Mel's Trading Post; and Mary Rudis, Associate Principal & School Social Worker, Applebee's.

In the month of November, the following staff had their "winning ticket" drawn and chose their recognition gift card or certificate: Michelle Creadon, 6th grade English/Language Arts & Social Studies, Walmart; Sarah Zurowski, Health Education, Hodag Express Lube; and Ryan Buss - Slumberland Furniture.

"The community has been generous to the Atti-Dude program, and staff members at JWMS are thankful for this," the district said. "Any individuals or community businesses or groups interested in helping support the program can stop by the school or call JWMS at (715) 365-9220."
