Tuna Two-'fer to benefit Relay for Life and the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry
One act of kindness, two great causes. The second year of collecting cans of tuna is now under way to benefit both the American Cancer Society - Relay for Life Oneida County and the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry. First, the cans of tuna will be used as weight in the Luminary bags so they will not tip over in the wind. After the Relay of Life event, the cans will be donated to the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry for distribution to area families in need. Everyone is encouraged to purchase cans of tuna and drop them off at their financial institution of choice. Collection totes are available at the following eight Rhinelander locations: Associated Bank, BMO Harris Bank, CoVantage Credit Union, Nicolet National Bank, Park City Credit Union, Peoples State Bank (both locations) and RIPCO Credit Union. The Relay for Life - Oneida County event will be held on Friday, June 13 at Mike Webster Stadium behind Rhinelander High School.
