Curls Gone Wild, located at 138 Stevens Street in downtown Rhinelander, opened on May 15. Owner Kirsten Marsh says the store has something for everyone.
"It's full service. We offer men's, women's and children's haircuts, colors, perms, acrylic and gel nails, pedicures, manicures," Marsh said.
"It's full service so we offer everything - anything and everything."
Marsh has been in the haircare business for over eight years, but has always wanted to open her own shop. Now, she's living the dream.
"I've been doing hair for eight years and I've always wanted to open my own place and just have a fun, cheery, warm place," Marsh said.
"I feel like we've managed to pull that off. We try to make it really comfortable for people when they come in."
Part of the comfort is a unique vintage appeal.
"I went with a vintage theme for the inside. I have some antiques and some rustic furniture and things like that," Marsh said.
"I have an appreciation for older stuff like that and I haven't really ever seen any other salon that has that so I thought I'd go with it. I think it's looks really cool."
Above all else, Marsh wants to share her love of hair with the community.
"I love doing hair. It's awesome," she said. "It's fun to meet new people and be creative and help someone find a look they're happy with."
Curls Gone Wild is open Monday through Saturday. Walk-ins are welcome and appointments can be made by calling (715) 420-1666.
