Northern Wis. Blizzards win Blue Devils AAA hockey tournament
The team consists of skaters from all across northern Wisconsin - including Rhinelander player Freddy Wisner - and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The Blizzards won their first game against the Midwest Warriors 5-2, lost their second game 3-2 against the home Blue Devils team and won their third game with a shutout 4-0 against the Green Bay Hornets to advance to the championship game. They defeated the Blue Devils 3-2, scoring the game-winner just 39 seconds into overtime.
