Heck named Diplomate of American Board of Optometry
"Dr. Heck joins her colleagues in upholding a strong tradition and Eye Clinic legacy of board certified staff," the clinic said in a press release. "The Eye Clinic believes that these certifications are an important part of the clinic experience, ensuring that its physicians continue to grow as health care providers. As a board certified optome-trist, Dr. Heck strives toward the highest levels of competence and education in her field."
Dr. Heck earned an undergraduate degree with a B.S. in Visual Science from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. and then continued on to attain her Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry, finishing in 1997.
She interned at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Fla., and completed a residency at Kansas City VA Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Heck joined the Eye Clinic of Wisconsin in 2003.
