Enchanted Doll Club of the Northwoods to hold May meeting
The Enchanted Doll Club of the Northwoods will hold its May meeting at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17 at the Olson Memorial Library. After the business meeting, the club members will participate in a book sharing event. Members will be bringing books from their own collections and making recommendations on books they have found useful for the hobby of doll collecting. Anyone interested in learning about books to purchase about dolls is urged to attend the meeting.

At the recent meeting, Arlene Vlies presented a program on Dewees Cochrane. Cochrane was a leading innovator and creator of dolls in the 20th century. Vlies said that Cochrane's autobiography entitled "As If They Might Speak" is an excellent source of information about this famous doll maker.
