Hodag Pride bracelets for sale, proceeds benefit NATH and Rhinelander Area Food Pantry
By Kayla Thomason-
"[The bracelets] look really fun and sparkly," said Alison Polkowski, sales associate at Golden Karat Jewelers.
Polkowski said the bracelets make a great gift for students who are graduating this year. A piece of jewelry is a little bit of Rhinelander they can take with them as they head off to wherever life takes them.
"The bracelets would be a token of the community for the graduates and that the people buying them for the graduates would be doing a service to the community as well as giving the students something to remember their hometown by," Polkowski said.
All proceeds will be split evenly between the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry and the Northwoods Alliance for Temporary Housing (NATH/Frederick Place).
The Hodag Pride Bracelets can be purchased for $20 apiece at the Rhinelander Golden Karat Jewelers. They will accept cash or check.
This is the second time Golden Karat has sold the bracelets. Last fall they were able to donate $4,000 to the food pantry.
There are 40 bracelets still available, Polkowski said.
If anyone is interested in purchasing this little token of Hodag Pride, Golden Karat Jewelers is located in the strip mall next to Goodwill. Their hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
