Ruth Hempel of Forth Floral in Rhinelander will help folks get in the mood for spring with a presentation on miniature gardening at Rhinelander District Library at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 1.

Are you a would-be gardener but simply don't have the time or space required to have a garden? Do you enjoy growing plants in a variety of containers? Miniature gardening might be for you. From terrariums to containers to troughs, miniature gardens are making big news and have become quite popular.

With demonstrations and displays, Hempel will explain how to grow a wide variety of plants - including vegetables - in a diverse array of miniature gardens. Learn about different types of miniature gardens and how you may be able to make it work for you.

This program is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served. For more information, call the Rhinelander District Library at (715) 365-1070.
