The Hodags beat Monroe 2-1 on Saturday morning, lost to Amery 10-8 in the semifinals on Saturday night and finished up Sunday with a 5-3 win over Blackhawk.
Harlan Wojtusik led the Hodags with a pair of hat tricks. He had seven goals and four assists total. Jake Losch and Conner Julson had strong weekends with three goals and an assist each. Kia Dalka added three assists to help the Hodags and Brett Benes and Nicholas Jones each added a goal and an assist.
The team played with only two forward lines and thee defensemen. Jared Arno, Konnor Kennedy and Joe Schneider played outstanding defense throughout the tournament.
Donovan Fritz played strong all weekend in goal and had an incredible performance in the final game to keep the Hodags in it until Wojtusik took over with his four-goal performance.
"All season long we skated with a short bench and had to really dig deep to compete in the third period," coach Joe Flanders said. "The entire team plays a lot of minutes and really gets along well together. This was Donovan's first year in net and we couldn't be more happy with his effort and performance. It's a special group of kids and I'm confident they'll do great things next season."
