Capital Campaign
Plans are moving forward to relocate the food pantry to a larger and more efficient site in the building currently occupied by Golden Harvest. The campaign is at 75 percent of its goal and additional donations are still needed. Checks can be dropped off at or sent to Associated Bank. Please put "Capital Campaign" on the memo line.
CANtastic Voting
Voting will continue through March 28 at the Rouman Cinema. Seven structures made from cans and packages of food are on display and you can vote for your favorite ones with donations of non-perishable food items. Voting hours are 4 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 9 p.m on weekends.
Logo Contest
The pantry would like to have a new logo to use in conjunction with the move to a new location. Entries can be submitted through April 30. Please consult www.rhinelanderareafoodpantry.org for more information.
Feinstein Challenge
All donations, monetary or food items received through April 30 will qualify for a partial matching donation from the Feinstein Foundation.
Menard's collection box
Menard's has a collection box by its exit doors and is accepting non-perishable food items through April 15.
Pape Murphy's collection offer
Papa Murphy's is collecting non-perishable food items though the end of March. Customers will receive a $3 discount on a large pizza or $4 off a family size.
Hodag Pride Bracelets
Golden Karat Jewelers Hodag Pride Bracelets are still being sold with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to RAFP and the Northwoods Alliance for Tempoary Housing.
Senior Center collection box
The Senior Center has a collection box for the Hope for the Homeless program being conducted by the UCC Church for donation to the food pantry and other area agencies.
