Area caregivers honored for providing high quality care

Three area long-term care employees were recently honored by the Northern Wisconsin Long Term Care Workforce Network for caregiver excellence at the eighth annual Direct Caregivers Conference at Nicolet College.

The honorees recognized for exceptional performance were Nancy Newman, program assistant, Cumberland Heights; Tina Hansen, supportive home care worker, Aspirus VNA Home Health and Extended Care; and Tammy Sarazin, CNA and certified medication aide, Golden Living Center-Golden Age.

They were recognized by Tina Zimmermann, chair of the Northern Wisconsin Long Term Care Workforce Network and Sandy Bishop, director of workforce development.

The Annual Direct Caregivers Conference was sponsored by the Northern Wisconsin Long Term Caregivers Workforce Network and Nicolet College.
