E-Cig Central now open in Rhinelander
Owner Marcus Welnetz said E-Cig Central, which opened March 3, has everything an electronic cigarette consumer needs in one central location.
"We opened up (a store) in the beginning of the year in Antigo and it's going over well and people enjoy it so we figured we'd expand. We're actually looking to open up more stores in the future, too," Welnetz said.
As for why he chose Rhinelander for the next shop, Welnetz said it was an obvious choice.
"We're looking for populations somewhere around Antigo's size," he said. "We saw that there really isn't anything like what we offer here, so we figured it'd be a great fit."
E-Cig Central offers numerous products for electronic cigarette users.
"We have starter kits, over 40 flavors of juice and different levels of nicotine including some with no nicotine for people that just want to do it for the flavor," Welnetz said.
The various nicotine levels may be attractive to those who are looking to electronic cigarettes as an alternative to traditional cigarettes, Welnetz said.
"Typically, if someone's smoking, they want to do this to quit smoking and start using (electronic cigarettes) as an alternative. You can lower your nicotine levels and slowly ween off of it until you don't need any anymore," he explained.
Because electronic cigarettes are still a relatively new product, Welnetz said anyone interested in learning more should go to www.casaa.org.
"If you go on the website, they have a lot of reading materials that deal with health advantages versus smoking real cigarettes and whatnot. It's a really knowledgeable, informative website," Welnetz said.
The store hours for E-Cig Central are Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
