Families have enjoyed the facilities of Pioneer Park for several generations. However, in recent years, merry-go-rounds, slides and even teeter-totters were deemed unsafe by park officials and have been replaced. The curly slide was a favorite of many children 35 years ago, and this young man, who turns 40 today, now has a child of his own to bring to the park.
