District electorate approves sale of South Park building
Bethesda Lutheran Communities offered $139,500, the district's current asking price, for the building. The district held a special meeting to allow the electorate to vote on the offer.
The sale is contingent on a number of reports and surveys that will need to be completed in the coming months, including an inspection report, property survey, zoning permits, document reviews, acceptance of the sale by Bethesda's Board of Directors and a final appraisal.
First Weber Group Broker Associate Ron Skagen, the district's selling agent, informed the electorate that such contingencies are standard. The district has been trying to sell the building since 2012 when its last tenant, the Northwoods Community Secondary School, moved to Rhinelander High School.
A full report on the sale will be published in the Thursday edition of the Northwoods River News.
