Rebuilding a legacy

A crew from Northland Buildings began construction this week on the new Lorbetske barn off Camp Four Road in Sugar Camp. The structure, which will be completed Monday, will be used primarily for hay storage but will also house a few cattle pens. The new barn replaces a barn destroyed by fire in January. The sight of the barn being rebuilt is a wonderful thing for owner Brent Lorbetske. "My grandpa started this farm in 1910 and it's been in the family ever since. The idea of not having a barn here is just foreign to me. I can't imagine not having a barn here," he said. "It's heartwarming to see the new barn go up."
