Rhinelander and Eagle River Fourth of July parade winners announced


Parade organizers have announced their picks for the best units in the Rhinelander 2014 Fourth of July Parade.

The best non-profit units were the Rhinelander High School dance team, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Rhinelander Country Club and the 4-H/Oneida County Fair.

Best marching units were Lazy Acres, Hodag BMX Club and Holiday Stables.

Best business units were Pioneer Equipment, Palubicki Electric and Northwoods K-9 Sports.

Best general units were the Rhinelander Fire Department, Pelican Fire Department and the Oneida County Beekeepers Association.

The theme of the Rhinelander parade was "Be True to the Red, White and Blue."

Eagle River Fourth of July parade organizers also announced their best entrants.

First place went to Wall Street Health Care Pharmacy, second place was awarded to Eagle River Business Association and third place went to Tribute Brewing Company. The Eagle River parade had nearly 90 entrants participating and over 70 floats

The theme of the Eagle River parade was "Saluting Our Volunteers and Service Organizations."
