The performance is scheduled for Feb. 11, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the LUHS auditorium.
"Thank You for the Music" - A modern tribute to ABBA is an exciting and dynamic tribute to the Swedish pop super-group ABBA. Four singers, two men and two women, loosely playing the roles of the original ABBA which has two married couples. Powerful harmonies, high energy dance, big personalities, and the unforgettable hits of ABBA make this musical tribute one not to be missed. "Dancing Queen," "Waterloo," "Take a Chance on Me," "Fernando" and "Mamma Mia" are only the beginning of this nostalgic musical journey.
Audiences will delight in the exciting modern reinterpretations of ABBA classics, as well as a wide array of musical arrangements that pay tribute to ABBA's original sound. The cast leads the audience on a journey of ABBA history mixed with a bit of humor. All of this combines with four-part harmonies and electrifying vocals to create an absolutely unforgettable entertainment experience.
This show is thoroughly entertaining for adults and kids alike. It is not only a vocal review of ABBA music, but is a scripted show with dialogue that moves the show from song to song, and highlights some of the more important aspects of the original quartet. It is all done in good humor with lots of laughs.
