Magical Moments Bridal Expo features something for every bride
From traditional gowns to camouflage, Lund & Taylor has it all
By Kayla Thomason-
The expo features area vendors for one-stop shopping for all things wedding, and takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lund & Taylor Bridal Gallerie, 15 S. Brown St. in downtown Rhinelander. The expo will showcase multiple bridal styles, everything from dresses with camouflage belts to traditional wedding dresses with beaded bodices.
"Right now we are really, really big on the lace A-lines," said Mary Taylor, owner of Lund & Taylor Bridal Gallerie. "(They) are really popular right now, fit and flare. Big and poofy doesn't seem to be as popular right now. Our first set (during the) fashion show (portion of the expo) will be camouflage, like the Duck Dynasty thing. (That show is) so popular right now so we've got some camouflage dresses."
Lund & Taylor has been hosting bridal expos for the past 11 years, helping numerous brides prepare for the big day. This year there will be between 75 and 150 dresses and tuxes for brides to peruse. Also on hand will be 35 talented vendors ready to showcase their skills. Brides will be able to consult with cake decorators, wedding planners and vendors who specialize in flowers and invitations, among other services.
"(It's a) one-stop shop. It's nice to have everything all in one place so when you're shopping you don't have to handle different vendors all over," said vendor Kristyn Skinner, owner of Spotlight Studios. "A lot of the vendors give discounts and you don't want to lose your date."
Elegant wedding dresses from Alfred Angelo and Mori Lee will be showcased, along with handsome tuxedoes from DuBois Formalwear. Mother of the bride dresses will be from Alfred Angelo, Karen Miller, Adrianna Papell and Alex Evenings. The fashion show will begin at 1:30 p.m.
Door prizes include a $500 gift certificate from Lund & Taylor, a gift certificate for a free one-night stay in a whirlpool room, a gift certificate for a dinner, a gift certificate for a florist, a ceremony gift set, or a free engagement session from a photo studio, to name a few.
Drawings will happen every hour and the brides' names will be pulled from a bucket.
Brides must be present to win. The winner of the $500 gift certificate will be chosen Jan. 27.
If brides RSVP ahead of time they will receive a free gift. Admission to the expo is free but a voluntary donation to the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry would be appreciated.
