Police announce convicted sex offender living in Nokomis

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is advising the public that a registered sex offender has moved to the town of Nokomis.

According to a sheriff's office press release, Todd M. Ames, 46, lives at 9862 Siemering Drive in the town of Nokomis. Ames is restricted from having unsupervised contact with minors, may not be in taverns or consume intoxicants, and must not be at locations where children congregate such as parks, malls, playgrounds, fairs or beaches.

He was placed on parole in Montana and had his parole transferred to Oneida County. He is required to register with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program for life.

Ames was convicted of sexual assault in 2009. His victims were a male and female child under the age of seven.
