Rhinelander swimmers head to Phillips
Highlights for RSC swimmers included the following performances:
- Annika Benoy, 15, improved 10.95 seconds in the 500-yard freestyle for a new personal-best time of 6 minutes, 17.47 seconds.
- Russell Benoy, 12, dropped 5.62 seconds in the 200 Individual Medley (2:48.87) and 5.60 seconds in the 200 freestyle (2:30.92).
- Benjamin Benton, 5, dropped 8.07 seconds in the 25 backstroke (39.62).
- Hailey Choinski, 7, improved 7.21 seconds in the 25 freestyle (35.56).
- Cooper Lindman, 11, beat his personal best in the 100 IM by 6.14 seconds (1:35.69).
- Tucker Lindman, 9, dropped an amazing 30.93 seconds in the 100 breaststroke (1:44.79).
- Nora Rutkowski, 7, dropped 7.02 seconds in the 25 backstroke (29.78).
- Sam Rutkowski, 10, improved 10.11 seconds in the 50 freestyle (48.19) and 8.40 seconds in the 50 breaststroke (57.49).
- Annalyse Schoppe, 8, dropped five seconds in the 100 IM (2:03.10).
- Liana Teter, 9, beat her personal best in the 50 breaststroke by 5.10 seconds (1:03.23).
- AnnaMarie Wood, 10, dropped 12.90 seconds in the 100 freestyle with a time of (1:46.13).
- Garrett Younker, 7, improved 7.70 seconds in the 25yd freestyle (33.98).
RSC will host the Freezin' Season Invitational Saturday at the Heck Family Community Pool and will travel to Lakeland High School on Jan. 18 for the last conference race before the divisional and championship meets.
