Oneida County Humane Society receives donation from Park City Credit Union
Bria Swartout, director of the Oneida County Humane Society Adoption Center, received the donation from Sidney Ring, manager of the Rhinelander branch of Park City Credit Union.
Bessey's Meat Market and the Days Inn/Claridge Restaurant also took part in the promotion. They partnered with Park City Credit Union as Buzz PointsTM partners and chose the Oneida County Humane Society as their charity of choice.
"Cash Mobs for a Cause" continues to be a success by boosting awareness of many local businesses that have a lot to offer in their communities, the credit union said in a press release. The participants who attend the "Cash Mobs" have the opportunity see what local stores have to offer and what services they provide the credit union stated. In addition, Park City Credit Union donates $1 per participant who attends the event during a "Cash Mob." Each business that becomes a Buzz PointsTM partner selects a charity of choice in their community.
For 2013, Park City Credit Union has donated $1,200 for local charities in Minocqua, Merrill, Rhinelander and Tomahawk. "Cash Mobs for a Cause" will continue in 2014.
Among those donations was a $510 gift to Kinship of Tomahawk.
Tomahawk local businesses that partnered with Park City Credit Union as Buzz PointsTM partners that chose the Kinship of Tomahawk as their charity of choice are as follows: Bambinos Italian Restaurant, Tomahawk Furniture Gun and Archery, Scarlet Garden, The Cheese Shoppe, Standard Mercantile, The Liquor Store, Changing Gears - Pedal and Paddle, What's Brewin, and Poplar Smokehaus.
