"As of Dec. 31, 2013, we collected $26,275.59 in donations," campaign coordinator Kim Swisher said in a press release. "In 2012, we raised $29,815. With those donations, we served 256 adults and children, up significantly from 2011."
Although the bell ringers are no longer standing outside local stores, there is still time to make a donation.
People can go online to make a donation at www.onlineredkettle.org/RhinelanderSalvationArmy. Donations may also be made via text message by texting KETTLE to 80888 to donate $10.
Swisher said the Salvation Army would like to thank everyone who participated in the campaign.
"Thank you to our many volunteers, everyone who donated, and to the businesses who provided support this year," said Swisher. "Our best wishes to you for a joyous New Year!"
