The Samoset Council of the Boy Scouts of America received a $500 donation from Ripco Credit Union Wednesday as part of the Friends of Scouts Kick-off Campaign. All proceeds from the campaign will go toward helping the council with its area camps as well as to provide "camperships" to scouts who cannot afford camp. The goal is to raise $20,000.
