Szpara joins Ministry Medical Group
A hospitalist, Szpara specializes in caring for people while they are inpatients at the hospital. Szpara will manage a full spectrum of serious illnesses and specialize in coordinating care around the clock. She specializes in providing care to patients with complex medical problems such as sepsis, heart failure, respiratory issues, renal failure and trauma.
Szpara received her master's degree in nursing science and a bachelor's degree in nursing from UW-Eau Claire. She also holds an associate's degree in nursing from Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire. She is certified in advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support. Szpara has completed the trauma nursing core course.
"I believe in a collaborative ap-proach," said Szpara. "The process starts with listening. I ask my patients about their needs, strengths and experiences. I work with the patients and their families to articulate the desired outcome. Together, we establish realistic, achievable goals. Then, I collaborate with the rest of the health care team to implement an effective plan to reach these goals. This process creates a roadmap for success - in the short and long term."
In her spare time, Szpara enjoys sailing, playing hockey, riding motorcycles and camping. She takes pleasure in introducing her family and friends to the next adventure and sharing the memories later.
