Famed a cappella group Six Appeal to perform at Nicolet College Jan. 15
That's what Nicolet College Theatre director Jim Nuttall has to say about the a cappella group Six Appeal.
Nuttall should know.
Over the years this veteran theater professional has seen hundreds of musical performances, studying each with a trained ear and eye.
"It's simply amazing what these guys, working together, can do with their voices," he said. "And not only are they great vocalists, they are also excellent entertainers who know how to put on a great show."
The six-person vocal ensemble will bring their wide-ranging talents to the Nicolet College Theatre for a special performance at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 15.
Known as one of the busiest touring a cappella groups in the country, Six Appeal travels coast to coast, bringing their vivid musical style, unmatched energy, and playful charm to audiences.
Their far-reaching repertoire spans a multitude of decades and genres, including pop, country, classic rock, jazz, R&B, and much more.
"I can't even imagine the hours they've put in rehearsing some of these songs and incorporating the humorous antics that make for such entertaining performances," Nuttall said. "For years audiences have been trying to figure out if Six Appeal is a comedy group, a vocal ensemble, or a rock band. Their talents are that diverse and what makes their performances so entertaining."
Recent accolades the group has received include winning the 2012 National Harmony Sweepstakes and being selected to sing the national anthem live at the 2013 Sugar Bowl.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at nicoletlive.com or by calling (715) 365-4681.
