Over 40 years ago, the Rhinelander Lions Club accepted the responsibility of providing Christmas gifts for those living outside of their homes.

On Friday, Dec. 11, interested Lions met to continue the tradition of celebrating with persons residing in Cumberland, Friendly Village, and Rennes Rhinelander facilities. Rhinelander Lions club members participating in the project were, from left to right, Don Frederickson, Mel Hook, Jon Konz, Bill Haenel, cub president Barbara Haenel, Don Hoppe, Scott Campbell, Dick Garrow, and project chairperson Charles Franz.
