Tina Lee, pictured here with Rhinelander Mayor Dick Johns, was named the winner of the city's Boyce Drive boat landing naming contest with her entry of Pelican Rapids Landing. Lee said it "feels great" to have been chosen as the winner. She won two rounds of 18 holes with a cart, a gift certificate to Mulligan's Restaurant & Pub and an hour with the course professional. Lee, who is the great-great-granddaughter of Rhinelander's first settler Martin Lynch, said it was easy coming up with her entry as she felt it was important the landing be called Pelican Rapids Landing to honor an important part of Rhinelander's history. Before it was named Rhinelander, the area was called Pelican Rapids.
