Ced Vig Holiday Book Fund marks 30th anniversary
As yearly Holiday Book Fund donations have grown, they've made a difference by adding considerably to the adult, young adult and children's department collections.
"One in four children's books checked out by our patrons has the Holiday Book Fund bookplate," notes children's department manager Tom Hurlburt.
To celebrate the life of the late Ced Vig, a beloved local author, naturalist and educator, and the Holiday Book Fund's 30th anniversary, the RDLF has set a 2014 fundraising goal of $30,000, or $1,000 for each year of the fund's existence.
Donations can be mailed to Rhinelander District Library Foundation, P.O. Box 1225, Rhinelander, WI 54501. All contributions will be gratefully accepted and all contributions are tax-deductible by law.
