Hodag BMX Club members compete at state
David Houg took home a first-place trophy from the event.
Emerson Swaney, Brian Sturtevant and Raven Sturtevant finished second in their BMX classes. Additionally, Raven Sturtevant finished second in her cruiser class.
Trevin Walkowski and Ashton Swaney finished third in their classes while Brock Walkowski, Cassandra Walkowski and Brian Sturtevant (on a cruiser) finished fourth.
Final state points standings were determined at the meet and the following riders placed in the top five in their divisions:
• David Houg, 1st, 7 Novice/Intermediate
• Emerson Swaney, 1st, 9 Girls
• Raven Sturtevant, 1st, 11-12 Girls Cruiser
• Cassandra Walkowski, 1st, 17-20 Girls
• Trevin Walkowski, 2nd, 10 Expert
• Brian Sturtevant, 2nd, 41-45 Novice/Intermediate
• Brock Walkowski, 3rd, 13 Expert
• Raven Sturtevant, 3rd, 12 Girls
• Brian Sturtevant, 5th, 41-45 Cruiser
The Hodag BMX Club continues to race weekly at the Hodag BMX track, located at West Side Park in Rhinelander through the end of September.
