An anonymous gift basket was donated to Ministry Health Care with instructions to give to the parents of the first baby born on or after Aug. 4, at either Howard Young Medical Center (HYMC) in Woodruff or Ministry Saint Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander.

The first baby delivered, Greyson Michael Killian Krog, was born at 11:03 a.m. Aug. 4 at HYMC to parents Jennifer and Ryan Krog of Phillips. Greyson Michael weighed 11 pounds, 14 ounces.

The basket included a hand-knitted blanket, hand-knitted sock monkey and lion, baby clothes, nightlight, diapers, diaper rash ointment, books, and a Shopko gift card worth $40. The hand-knitted lion was created to honor the zodiac sign for Aug. 4, which is Leo.
