Golden Karat Jewelers still selling Hodag Pride bracelets
By Kayla Thomason-
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the bracelets has been donated to the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry and Northwoods Alliance for Temporary Housing.
NATH has already received $1,000 and with the sale of the last 13 bracelets the food pantry will get the last portion of its $1,000.
Bracelets cost $20 and can be purchased at Golden Karat Jewelers, located at 2187 Lincoln Street in Rhinelander.
Each green or white crystal bead is handstrung on a black cord in the store.
"They really sparkle very nicely, they are a fun gift for students coming back up here with school starting again, they would be a nice gift for Spirit Week or something like that or homecoming," said Alison Polkowski, sales associate at Golden Karat Jewelers.
These will be the last Hodag Pride bracelets that Golden Karat Jewelers will sell for a while so anyone interested should act fast as they usually sell two a week, Polkkowski said.
Golden Karat Jewelers' hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
