What makes Rhinelander special?

It's "hometown" to our families.

What types of products or services do you offer?

Super Premium Chocolate shoppe ice cream made in Wisconsin, organic espresso beans (freshly roasted and shipped the same day), and homemade soups "made from scratch" (not from a wholesale truck).

What are some of the challenges your business faces?

[Our] unique location inside WashSmart Laundry makes it difficult for the locals to see us.

What aspect of your business makes you most proud?

Our repeat customers that have become friends from just strangers and acquaintances.

What benefits can your business offer for consumers who buy local?

[A] stamp card for [a] free [ice cream, smoothie or coffee].

What makes your business stand out?

Quality super premium products.

What products or services do you offer that are unique?

A'la Mode is currently being run by "twin sisters." My sister, Barb, is now full-time. [We're] both known for [our] great friendly customer service, not only in the coffee shop but assisting laundry customers as well. A'la Mode also employs three part-time girls.

What is your personal relationship and involvement with the community?

Rhinelander Ambassador Leadership Oneida County.

Why do you think it is important to buy local?

[I have] always shopped local ... from cars and clothing to business supplies. Shopping and buying local is so full-circle, economically, from paying wages to supporting other local needs. It allows small businesses to donate to local schools, organizations and other charities.
