Sanderson named VP of Ministry Medical Group Northern Region
Dr. Sanderson was selected following a thorough search process that involved representatives from medical group leadership, northern region physicians, nursing leaders and Human Resources, the health care organization said in a press release. He fills the role formerly held by Dr. Sookochoff.
"Dr. Sanderson is an experienced family physician and leader who has been associated with Ministry for 30 years," the health care organization noted. "He has run a small group practice in Plover, served as the president of the Rice Medical Group, and most recently served as Chief Medical Informatics Officer for MMG responsible for the successful implementation of the Cattails EHR. He currently serves on Ascension committees for IT and Physician Formation and participates on the QHS steering team with a strong vision for the management of population health."
Dr. Sanderson completed his medical training at Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine, Augusta, Ga. and did both an internship and residency at ThedaCare in Appleton. He also holds an MBA from University of Tennessee, Knoxville, College of Business Administration.
"I have confidence Dr. Sanderson will excel in his new position," stated Dr. Sookochoff. "He has my full support as he strives to ensure the continued success of our medical group practices in the northern region," he noted.
