Rhinelander High School students compete at FBLA state conference
National qualifiers included first-place winner Lukas Kreger (Insurance and Risk Management Event). There were two second-place winners Liz Krug (Accounting Event) and Drew Stafford (Personal Finance Event). These students will travel to Nashville, Tenn. in June to compete at the national level.
Other students who received recognition include fourth-place winners Erin Tenderholt (Impromptu Speaking Event) and partners Connor Funk and Jordon Stuart (Global Business Event). Adam Woebbeking (Client Service Event), Annika Hempel (Economics Event), and partners Skye Skinner and Jessie Swearingen (Desktop Publishing Event) placed fifth. In sixth place were Mike Anderson (Personal Finance Event) and Ian Bishop (Computer Problem Solving Event). In eighth place was Jon Chizever (Accounting Event). The Rhinelander Chapter finished ninth overall out of 120 chapters.
Freshman Gunnar Millot participated in Project L.E.A.D. This program provided students with hands-on opportunities to further develop their abilities to be a leader while still maintaining a sense of teamwork within a group. This allowed students to learn the importance of putting the betterment of the group before his/her own needs. Juniors Megan Haug and Janice Luu served as voting delegates and were responsible for casting a ballot in determining the next FBLA state officers.
