"They love it. We have a good time, a really good time, every year," said assistant librarian Denise Chojnacki.
Children took part in several dance activities, one of them called "Body Boogie," which involved everything from moving their heads down to stepping and wiggling all about.
There was also a hula hoop game that was similar to musical chairs.
A rainbow pinata hung from the ceiling and children took whacks at it until the goodies hit the floor.
Other activities consisted of a temporary-tattoo station, bubble wrap hopscotch, bingo and an arts and crafts center where children were able to decorate little planter pots. They chose to plant sunflowers or beans.
"We're having a great time, it's really fun," said Kathy Currie, mother of four of the participants. "I'm sure the kids will want to come back after seeing how fun it is."
The spring celebration activities change every year.
