The Rhinelander Ice Association's eight-and-under Mite team will be participating in the Northern Wisconsin U8 Hockey League this year. Players from the team will be traveling to five different rinks during the course of the season, including Eagle River, Merrill, Lakeland, Antigo and Tomahawk. The season will conclude Feb. 22 with a league jamboree in Merrill.
The Mites are entry level hockey players who enjoy the excitement of competition and the thrill of testing their skills against players from the northern part of the state. They will play cross-ice games in a 3-on-3 plus goalie format.
