The Rhinelander Police Department has announced a sex offender will be moving to Oneida County this week.

Dennis L. Williams, 51, will be released from prison June 1 and will be returning to Oneida County, which was his county of residence at the time of his conviction.

The department did not say where in Oneida County Williams will be living.

Williams is to be supervised by agents from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections - Probation and Parole Office in Rhinelander. He will be placed in the Intensive Supervision Program and will be subject to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Electronic Monitoring Program (EMP).

Williams, who was convicted of second degree sexual assault of a child in 1998, is also required to register with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program.
