FACT group using displays to spread anti-tobacco message
FACT group using displays to spread anti-tobacco message
The James Williams Middle School FACT (Fighting Against Corporate Tobacco) group has been busy spreading its message to the community and to fellow students. The group recently completed the Big Tobacco Trash and Cup in the Fence FACTivisms. The Big Tobacco Trash FACTivism involved filling and displaying bright orange garbage bags at JWMS with the message "Big Tobacco Treats Teens Like Trash" by marketing candy flavored tobacco products to them. The Cup in the Fence FACTivism was completed by using cups to create the message "Candy Hides Poison" in the JWMS fence. This messages expose the tobacco companies for using candy flavors to hide their products.
