The Hodags faced their toughest opponent in game one against the host Bluejays, who took 2nd out of 32 teams at state last month. Rhinelander pulled out a 41-35 victory in a well-played game. Brad Comer knocked down seven 3-pointers and scored 23 points to pace the Hodags.
In game two the Hodags defeated Great Northern Conference rival Medford 49-30. Owen White scored 13 points and Logan Freund added 11.
A balanced scoring attack guided the Hodags to a 63-39 victory over Auburndale in game three. Leading the way were White with 17, Comer with 16, Freund with 15, and Markus Johnson with 10.
In the championship game, the Hodags pulled away in the second half and coasted to a 43-29 victory over Phillips. Brad Quade led the way with 15 points and Freund scored 10.
The green team is currently 18-2 and will play in its final regular season tournament on Saturday in Medford.
