At top, Judy and Bob Thoms recently hosted their 11th annual Christmas party fundraiser and once again donated the proceeds to the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry. They are pictured here presenting over $3,100 and 165 pounds of food to Guy Hansen, executive director of the pantry. The generosity expressed by the Thoms family and their friends is very much appreciated and will definitely help the food pantry with its mission of assisting area families in need, the organization said in a press release. At bottom, Mrs. Bishop's multi-age class recently held its second annual food drive for the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry. All students and staff at Crescent Elementary participated by bringing in non-perishable food items to give back to the community. The students, pictured here, were very proud to learn that their efforts resulted in 369 pounds of food delivered to the food pantry for distribution to area families in need this holiday season, the pantry said in a press release.
