Middle school bowlers beat Antigo II 5-4
The Rhinelander/Elcho middle school level club bowling team defeated Antigo II five games to four Dec. 15 at Hodag Lanes in Rhinelander. The Hodags posted their three highest games of the season during the match, posting total pinfalls of 219, 211 and 210. Their 179.6 average for the match was the best of any middle school team in District 9 this season.

The Hodags were led by Darin Bloomquist, who filled 18 of 18 frames with 12 strikes. Mackenzie Bourcier was 15 of 18 with 10 strikes, Calvin Schneider was 14 of 18 with nine strikes, Katrina Blasius was 10 of 18 with two strikes and Eric Jones was 9 of 18 with two strikes.
