Sidlowski named interim executive director of Grow North
The Grow North Executive Committee chose to appoint an interim executive director for a term of six months to ensure both a timely transition and to maintain momentum in the organization while giving the board of directors flexibility in determining the future needs for the position, the organization said in a press release announcing the appointment.
A resident of Three Lakes, Sidlowski comes to Grow North with a depth of experience in both the private and public sectors, economic development and community service, the release states.
He is the co-founder and managing director of Oneida Marketing Enterprises, a virtual company providing integrated Internet marketing systems, and is actively engaged in regional economic development as founder of the Northwoods Broadband Development Coalition, a super-regional entity committed to transforming northern Wisconsin into a nationally-recognized high-speed Internet zone. He also serves as management team leader for the Wisconsin Public Service Commission's LinkWISCONSIN Region 2, and as a broadband development advisor to a wide range of local, county, regional and state agencies and entities.
His past public service includes four years as town chairman in the Town of Three Lakes, as chairman of the Three Lakes Economic Development Committee, as a commissioner on the Three Lakes Plan Commission and a member of the Board of Directors of the Oneida County Economic Development Corporation.
Sidlowski will assume his new duties by late December.
Grow North Regional Economic Development Corporation was created in 2004 to foster cooperation among economic development partners and foster economic growth in Florence, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Marinette, Oconto, Oneida and Vilas counties.
It is a non-profit organization that exists to create, sustain and promote an environment conducive to regional economic development and prosperity. Grow North's partners include private-sector businesses, regional service providers, educational institutions, local economic development organizations and others interested in supporting the mission.
