Leo G. Norden, MD, retiring from Ministry Medical Group
Dr. Norden began building his loyal client base in the Northwoods after moving to the area in 1973. During his initial visit to Rhinelander, it didn't take long for him to realize the community was going to be a great place to work and raise a family.
"The people we met while interviewing were absolutely amazing," he said. "I'm very appreciative I was able to practice medicine in Rhinelander, and I will always remember the relationships I built with my patients and co-workers."
Dr. Norden was born and raised in Iowa. He earned his bachelor's degree at Cornell College, Mount Vernon, Iowa, and his medical degree at the University of Iowa. He completed his internal medicine residency in Iowa City, Iowa.
"Dr. Norden was a valuable asset to the delivery of patient care in our community," said Ministry Medical Group Regional Vice President Robert Sookochoff, MD. "I'd like to thank him for his service and dedication to Rhinelander, and we wish him well in retirement."
Dr. Norden is going to stay in the community to enjoy retirement. "I plan on catching up on reading as I haven't had a chance to sit down and read a book for 40 years," he joked.
Dr. Norden and his wife, Marilyn, hope to spend more time visiting their two grown children and several grandchildren.
