In the true meaning of Thanksgiving, Park City Credit Union awarded 130 Thanksgiving meals to community members throughout Merrill, Tomahawk, Rhinelander and Minocqua. This has become an annual tradition. In the last three years, the number of Thanksgiving meals donated has increased.

Park City Credit Union is vested in and committed to making significant contributions to the communities it has served for over 75 years.

"We realize that the holidays may be a difficult time for families who are struggling. We believe our Thanksgiving meal program will help ease the burden during this time of year," said Val Mindak, Park City Credit Union President. "This is part of our ongoing commitment to our local communities."

Park City Credit Union partnered with local grocer: Nelson's County Market in Tomahawk, Save More Foods in Minocqua, Trigs in Rhinelander and Dave's County Market in Merrill, to bring these Thanksgiving feasts to community member's tables.

For the first time, Park City Credit Union teamed up with the Merrill Area Girl Scouts who assisted in putting the meal packages together.

"We discussed what they loved about Thanksgiving, which included spending time with family, saying what they were thankful for and the meal," said Melissa Wrycha, vice president of Sales & Marketing. "The girls were very excited to put the packages together and understood that without their help some people in our community may not have a turkey for Thanksgiving."

Park City Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative providing financial services to over 23,000 members who live or work in the counties of Lincoln, Marathon, Oneida, Iron, Price, Vilas or Taylor, as well as parts of Langlade County. To find out more, visit www.parkcitycu.org.

Park City Credit Union has offices located in Merrill, Tomahawk, Minocqua, Rhinelander and a branch in the Merrill High School.
