Holiday Expressions raises $11,000 for Rhinelander Food Pantry
Members of the local Newcomers & Friends Group, along with the Rhinelander Woman's Club, hosted the event, along with many new volunteers.
"So many more people volunteered to help in so many ways, it truly is an event that people in one way or another, have worked on all year," said Rhonda Jicinsky, Holiday Acres Resort.
Sponsorships from local businesses also helped to increase the funds raised. Two dollars from each lunch was donated to the food pantry by Holiday Acres Resort.
Major sponsors ($500) for the event were St Mary's Ministry Health, Kohl's, Pioneer Equipment, Rhinelander GM Toyota, Holiday Acres Resort, Rhinelander Family Dentistry. Patron sponsors ($250) were Aspirus Rhinelander, CoVantage Credit Union, North Star Steel, and Ray & Ellen Burgan.
Friend sponsors were Associated Bank, Boyd Financial, Gates Auto Body, Oldenburg Group, Park City Credit Union, BMO Harris Bank Employees, Northwoods Bank, Oldenburg Group, Parsons of Antigo, Eagle River, & Crandon, People's State Bank, Ponsse USA Inc., Rhinelander Honda, Ripco Credit Union, Seventh Day Advent Thriftshare Store, Ann O'melia, and Sandy Bergman.
Businesses donating merchandise to the table-setting tables were Walmart, Trig's Floral, Forth Floral, and Rhinelander Woman's Club.
