The city of Rhinelander officially kicked off the Christmas season Friday with the annual parade and tree-lighting ceremony. The parade route started at the north end of Brown Street and eventually ended at Stevensport Square where Mayor Dick Johns led the countdown for the tree lighting. Not long after all attention was directed to Santa and Mrs. Claus.
