Pink was the color of the day at Northwood Golf Club in Rhinelander Aug. 6 as the club's ladies league held its annual breast cancer awareness day.

In addition to everyone's pink attire, there were raffle prizes, and special on-course events. Event organizer Carole Zierden said the event raised $1,971, which will go to the James Beck Cancer Center at Ministry St. Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
