Three Lakes' Lorbetske named a UW-Eau Claire athlete of the week
Lorbetske, a Three Lakes High School graduate, appeared in two games last weekend and recorded two victories as the Blugolds defeated UW-La Crosse 3-2 in nine innings to open the day and 5-2 later in the day.
In the first game with the score tied, she pitched the final four innings and gave up just two hits and no runs while striking out four batters. In game two, with the Blugolds leading 4-2, Lorbetske again pitched the final four innings, allowing just one hit and no runs while striking out seven batters.
Lorbetske is now 6-1 on the season and has a 1.75 ERA on the season. The two wins this week pushed the Blugolds' conference winning streak to 17 games, tying a school record.
