Rhinelander High School's Blake Enerson won the state championship in Computer Game Programming Simulation at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) state conference held in Wisconsin Dells April 15-16.

Rhinelander's Ian Bishop placed fourth in Computer Problem Solving, and Hunter Piasecki placed fifth in Personal Finance.

This is the fourth consecutive year that RHS students qualified for the FBLA National Leadership Conference, which will be held in Anaheim, Calif. June 27-30. Enerson is the 12th student to represent RHS nationally, and the third student to win the state championship in the program's six years of existence.

FBLA is an extension of the classroom. Students take their knowledge and skills from class and compete on a regional, state and national level. Rhinelander FBLA is a very strong club, taking second place for the past three years (out of 21 schools regionally).

RHS students traveled to Wisconsin Dells for the competition with Advisor Aaron Panke. Students attended motivational presentations, workshops and tours and competed in business events. While participating at the conference, students also raised more than $1,000 for the March of Dimes.
