Nicolet College Foundation to hold annual fundraising event Oct. 30, Nov. 1
This is the 12th year of the event.
"Every dollar contributed to A Day for Nicolet is used for student scholarships," said Heather Schallock, executive director of the Nicolet College Foundation. "These scholarships have played an important role in supporting Nicolet students as they earn their degrees and diplomas. Without this financial support, many students would find it impossible to continue their education."
More than 1,000 scholarships have been awarded through A Day for Nicolet since the event started. Total raised to date is more than $1 million.
Contributors to A Day for Nicolet include businesses, organizations, clubs, and individuals. During the day itself, volunteers make personal visits and phone calls to potential donors asking for their support. Part of the success of the event is the matching funds received from generous benefactors. These funds are used to match other gifts and provide named scholarships.
